How they Work:

A mini-split system is a small heating and cooling system that consists of two pieces. The first component is the indoor unit, which can be controlled by either a thermostat, remote control, or both. The second component is the outdoor condenser, which is connected to the indoor unit through the wall. The indoor unit can be located anywhere in your room depending on your preference. We provided mini-split units that can be mounted on the wall, ceiling, or near the floor.

In most cases, a mini-split is supplemental to your whole home heating and cooling system. However, a single outdoor condenser can have up to 4 indoor units attached to it, leaving endless possibilities for your home comfort.

Benefits:

  • A Ductless Heating and Cooling unit are able to distribute cold or warm air more evenly and efficiently than traditional units, resulting in a more comfortable temperature throughout the home.

  • They’re flexible in regards to location and are small in stature. They can be used to heat and cool one room, which is ideal if you’re considering adding an addition to your home. Several models have up to 4 indoor air-handling units connected to one outdoor unit. This allows the unit to heat and cool several rooms or zones within the home.

  • They have a more esthetically pleasing appearance than other add-on units, such as window air conditioners. Most are only 7 inches wide and have a sleek outer appearance. In many cases, they can be hung at any point on a wall, suspended from the ceiling, or mounted into a drop ceiling. Most come with a remote control to make it easy to turn them on and off when they are positioned in a hard to reach area.

Repair vs Replace

No one wants to pour hard-earned dollars into repair bills for a lost cause. Knowing when to repair or replace a heating and cooling system can be tricky. Our team will help you make the right choice whether that is to fix your existing system or replace it with a new system all together.

Garage Heating

Things to Consider when choosing a Garage Heater

What Size is Best for Your Garage?

These are the typical guidelines for most garage units:

  • 2-car garage: 45,000 BTU

  • 3-car garage: 60,000 BTU

You should also consider why you want to heat your garage because this could impact the size of the heater you need. It is solely to keep your cars warm? Is maintaining the temperature at 55F all you need? Are you planning to work for longer amounts of time in the garage and want to keep it warmer and closer to 65F?

What Type of Maintenance is Required?

Maintenance will vary, depending on the type of garage heater you install. Little maintenance is required on the Reznor heaters, however, you should always:

  • do a CO test annually

  • clean the flame sensor annually

Things to Consider Before Installing Garage Heater

Thermostat Location

You should consider where you want to put the thermostat because this is what you will use to control your garage heater. Here are the most common locations for your garage thermostat:

  • behind the heater - because this is the part of the garage to warm up last

  • by the garage door openers, for easy and convenient access
